About

I’m Richard Redmond, a Infosec professional with over a decade of experience solving complex IT challenges. As the head of MDstaffers’ Technology Services department, I lead the strategic planning and execution of technology initiatives across the organization.

My passion for technology started early—at just 10 years old, I was building computers in my parents’ garage. I believed the best way to understand how computers work was to exploit hardware and software for fun. That curiosity led me to explore overclocking, application exploits, and a deep dive into cybersecurity.

Beyond Infosec, I’m a licensed HAM radio operator, an avid photographer, and a dedicated outdoor enthusiast. I love hiking and exploring various mountain ranges. Whether I’m experimenting with radio frequencies, capturing moments behind the lens, or trekking through the backcountry, I find inspiration in both technology and the great outdoors.

Continuously learning and expanding my skill set, I combine a life-time of self-taught expertise with formal education. Whether coaching others, developing innovative solutions, or contributing to security initiatives, I’m always looking for ways to make an impact.

I hold a BS in Management Information Systems from California State University, Sacramento, and an MS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University. My active industry certificates include: EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and CompTIA Security+ | Network+ | A+
